JOHN HOLMWOOD
With over 30 years in the wine trade, John is the driving force behind Wine at Source.
Originally trained in Economics & Politics at Trinity College Dublin, he quickly traded Ireland’s green fields for Spain’s vineyards — and has been immersed in the Spanish wine industry ever since.
He is a registered member of the Spanish Official College of Commercial Agents, reinforcing his professional standing within the Spanish commercial sector.
John oversees all projects, ensuring that every wine aligns with the client’s needs in style, quality and positioning. His deep knowledge of producers and constant search for new opportunities make him the reference point behind the business.

MIGUEL ÁNGEL SARMIENTO
Miguel Ángel manages the operational backbone of Wine at Source — ensuring that everything runs smoothly from winery to client.
With a background in International Relations, Foreign Trade and a PhD in Development Economics, he combines strong analytical skills with practical commercial experience.
He coordinates logistics, communication and information flow across all projects — making sure that what is agreed is delivered, efficiently and reliably.
If everything works seamlessly, he’s probably behind it.
ANDER DÍAZ
Ander plays a key role in sourcing and developing new wine and olive oil projects.
With a background in tourism and a strong international outlook, he works closely with both producers and clients to match origin, style, branding and price point.
A natural multitasker, he brings energy and flexibility to the team — always focused on finding the right solution for each project.
And when he’s not doing that, he’s likely somewhere on the water — as an accomplished kayaker.
KELLY ALBA HOLMWOOD
Kelly combines analytical thinking with creative execution — bringing both structure and refinement to projects.
With a background in Physics and deep familiarity with the business from an early age, she bridges the technical and commercial sides of wine sourcing.
While also pursuing her own professional endeavours, she remains closely involved in Wine at Source, working with key clients, supporting project development and contributing to branding, design and communication — ensuring that each wine is not only well sourced, but well presented.
Detail-oriented, versatile, and involved wherever she is needed most.
